From Losing Direction
to Finding Our Own Path

Sometimes, we don't know where a path will lead when we first begin.

Our journey was never something we planned from the beginning. It started with job loss, uncertainty and the search for a new direction. Along the way, Jollee's Jelly Art was born — and later, that journey unexpectedly brought us into F&B with Ju Wei Ge 聚味阁.

2017 · Finding a New Direction

In 2017, after losing my job, I found myself at a crossroads. After years in the corporate world, I began to question what I truly wanted to do with my life.

Instead of returning to a career I no longer felt connected to, I decided to give myself a chance to find a path that truly felt like my own.

Those years were not easy. To make a living, I drove Grab, delivered parcels and worked as a promoter. There were financial challenges and many uncertain moments, but I kept searching for something I genuinely wanted to build.

2019 · The Turning Point

In 2019, I discovered baking by chance and realised how much I enjoyed creating things by hand.

With traditional baking already a crowded space, I began looking for something a little different. That was when I discovered agar-agar jelly art.

Through learning, experimenting, making mistakes and trying again, that interest slowly grew into Jollee's Jelly Art. What began as a small curiosity became an important turning point in my life.

2024 · A New Chapter

Ju Wei Ge 聚味阁

In 2024, our journey took another unexpected turn into F&B. Ju Wei Ge 聚味阁 was started by siblings Chee Leong and Grace, bringing together their shared passion for homestyle food.

Along the way, Ju Wei Ge collaborated with Jollee's Jelly Art, bringing both sides together — comforting food from Ju Wei Ge, alongside handcrafted jelly desserts and jelly cakes by Jollee's.

What started as two different journeys became a collaboration where food, desserts and creativity could come together under one experience.

The journey taught us a great deal and introduced us to many customers, friends and supporters. Every word of encouragement and every returning customer has meant a lot to us.

Our story continues.

Although our physical Ju Wei Ge outlet has closed, Ju Wei Ge has not ended.

Ju Wei Ge continues with Bulk Orders, Bento Sets and Pre-orders, while Jollee's Jelly Art continues independently with its handcrafted jelly desserts and customised jelly cakes.

The collaboration between the two brands continues, and so does our journey.
